Induksi proembrio terhadap jarak pagar (Jatropha curcas L.) dengan kombinasi zat pengatur tumbuh auksin dan sitokinin.
Jarak pagar (Jatropha curcas L.) is a tropical plant which has potential to be developed as an energy resource alternative. Propagation of superior provenances in this commodity is essential to support plant breeding program, which can be done by conventional or inconventional techniques (biotechnology). This research used biotechnology approach in terms of somatic embryos (proembryo) propagation by combination of plant growth regulator media containing auxin (TDZ and Picloram) and cytokinin (BAP and 2.4 D). The plant materials used were zygotic embryo and hypocotyls of Dompu accessions. Explants used were immature embryos derived from fruits with 1-1.2 cm and 1.3-1.5 cm diameter, and hypocotyls. Proembryonic materials were obtained from several growth media containing picloram 0.1, 0.5 or 1.0 mg/L without TDZ, or 2 mg/L TDZ without picloram using early embryos of fruit 1.3-1.5 cm in diameter explants.
