Morphometry of Striped Tree Frogs, Polypedates leucomystax (Gravenhorst, 1829) from Indonesia with Description of a New Species
We examined patterns of geographic variation within Polypedates leucomystax using multivariate statistical analyzes of 14 morphological characters measured from 146 specimens obtained from Sumatra, Java, Kalimantan, and Sulawesi. Discriminant analysis revealed ten morphological characters and found that the Sulawesi population is morphologically distinct from all others considered. Following the Evolutionary Species Concept, we describe the Sulawesi population as a new species in P. leucomystax species complex. Russian Journal of Herpetology, Vol. 18, No. 1. Hal. 29-35
