Sumber Daya Ikan dan Potensinya di Perairan Kawasan Gunung Slamet Serta Pengelolaannya

The species richness of fish in Indonesia is very high, with a variety of potential spread across a wide range of habitats; one of them is in the region of Slamet Mountain. This study aims to determine species diversity, potential, and other aspects related to fish in the region of Slamet Mountain, especially in the watershed of Serayu, Purbalingga. This study has been found 11 fish families comprising 16 species. Cyprinidae is the most dominant family with four members of the species. Based on its potentiality it is recorded 9 species (56.25%) as an ornamental fish, 6 species (37.5%) as a food and a species (6.25%) could potentially double. Benter fish (Puntius binotatus) is the most abundant and widespread. The results of this study can be utilized as a basis for the development and management. Ekologi Gunung Slamet. LIPI Press.
