Tungau Macrochelidae yang berasosiasi dengan kumbang kotoran Scarabaeidae di Pulau Madura

Research on Macrochelidae associated with dung beetles has been conducted inMadura Island, East Java. Macrochelid mite associated with dung beetles collected by direct methode, hand-picking beetles from animal dungs in pasture. Seven species, two genera of the macrochelid mites are identified as Macrocheles hallidayi, M. kraepelini, M. krantzi, M. limue, M. oigru, M. sp. aff. glaber, and Neopodocinum jaspersi. The macrochelid mites are found to be associated with three genera of dung beetles, i. e. Copris, Onitis and Onthophagus.
