Effect of Cobalt Dopants to Structure of Zirconia

The purpose of this paper was to investigate the effect of Cobalt dopants and triton on to the tetragonal/monoclinic structure of Zirconia. The sample was prepared by sol gel method by mixing ZrCl4, CoCl2.6H2O.and Triton. X-ray diffraction (XRD), field emission scanning electron microscope (SEM) was used to determine the characteristics. Pure ZrO2 has monoclinic structure after calcinations at 950oC. The addition of persen dopant Cobalt and triton shows the grain of zircon was homogeneously substituted with a good morphology and the grain become finer.
