Komposisi Jenis Dan Struktur Komunitas Moluska Padang Lamun Di Perairan Pulau Kur, Tual

Observation on mollusc on seagrass beds ecosystem of Kur Island Waters, Tual City was conducted on March 2011. The aim of this study is to know the biodiversity of molluscs in seagrass beds of Kur Islands Water. A total of 73 molluscs specimens, from 11species of gastropods and 11 spesies of bivalvia were collected using quadrant transect line method from tree locations during the observation. Strombus urceus (gastropods) and Mactra Cuneata (bivalvia) is the most dominant molluscs (21,053 persen and 59,259 persen) in habiting the seagrass beds. The diversity index (H’) ranged between 1,666-1,889; Pielou’s evenness index (J) was 0,695-0,971, and simpson dominance index (D) was 0,161-0,318. Result showed that the mollusc comunity on Kur Island Waters was low category in diversity.
