Piper lowong BL di Lombok

Distribution of Piper lowong Blume in Indonesia was not known very well. The current information is that P. lowong is found only in Java and Sumatera. This research aimed to get more information about dispersion location of P. lowong in Indonesia. The existence of P. lowong was known from vegetation analysis at conservation forest Lemor Petandakan, Suela Lombok Timur. The name of P. lowong was from identification of herbarium specimen and life collection of Piper sp by reference of herbarium specimen of Herbarium Bogoriense Bidang Botani Pusat Penelitian Biologi LIPI and P. lowong collection of Kebun Raya Bogor LIPI, books of Piperaceae. By this new record of P. lowong at conservation forest Lemor Petandakan, Suela Lombok Timur, we found new dispersion location of this Piper in Indonesia.
