Fabrication and Characterization of Isotropic Bonded Pr-Fe-B Magnets
Abstract. In the present study, we have fabricated isotropic bonded Pr-Fe-B magnets at three different compacting pressures as 150, 175 and 200 Kgf/cm2. The density and flux magnet density were measured using Archimedes’ principle and Gauss meter, respectively. The results show that the measured density and flux magnet density of bonded Pr-Fe-B magnet tend to increase along with the compacting pressure. Permagraph characterization reveals that the remanence, intrinsic coercivity and maximum energy product of isotropic bonded Pr-Fe-B magnet compacted at 200 Kgf/cm2 are 7.09 kG, 5.22 kOe and 6.14 MGOe, respectively.
