Great Potential Of Microbial Isolates From Forest Ecosystem In Malianu -East Kalimantan As Bio-Fertilizer And Bio-Control Agents
Forest ecosystem is well known as the best environments for preserving biodiversities. Microorganisms play very important role on managing nutrient cycling as well as on controlling plant pathogens. The purposes of this works were to study the availability of benificial soil microorganisms of different ecosystem and their potential for developing bio-fertilizer as well as bio-control. The results showed that great number of N-fixing bacteria, Phosphate-solubulizing bacteria, and plant hormones producing bacteria were found in the forest ecosystem. The same result was also obtained in the greatest numbers or Actinomycetes of forest ecosystem that showed a good potential for developing bio-fertilizer as well as bio-controls agents of fungal plant pathogen. Therefore preserving natural forest ecosystem is very important to protect the lost of great biodiversity including beneficial agricultural microorganisms. More detail of potential of the bio-fertilizer as well as bio-control activities will be discussed in the paper.
