Induksi pembentukan kantong tanaman Nepenthes rafflesiana Jack pada berbagai konsentrasi media dan ukuran wadah kultur
In vitro culture of Nepenthes rafflesiana Jack was carried out to induce pitcher formation. Explants were cultured on Murashige - Skoog (MS) medium in four different concentrations (full strength MS, 1/2MS, 1/4MS, and 1/8MS) in two different size of culture vessels (300 ml and 130 ml). Habitus, numbers and colours of leaves and pitchers were observed for 2 months in weekly interval. The result showed 1/2MS medium induced the highest number on leaf and pitcher. Nevertheless, pitchers on poorer nutrients medium (1/4MS and 1/8MS) are larger in size. Leaves growth in larger culture vessel tends to be normal growth, while leaves growth in smaller culture vessel are twisted. However, leaves and pitchers in all of the media tested are green.
