Perkecambahan Biji Kantong Semar (Nepenthes ampullaria Jack.) Pada Berbagai Media In Vitro dan di Rumah Kaca

Mature seeds of a pitcher plant (Nepenthes ampullaria Jack.) were cultured in half strength MS medium supplemented with BAP (0, 2, and 4 mg/L) and NAA (0, 0.5, and 1 mg/L), HYPONeX + potato extract, and sterile water. The culture were incubated under light conditions in vitro. On the other hand, seed from different fruit were cultured in greenhouse with coco dust (coco peat), husk charcoal, coco peat : husk charcoal (1:1), and fern stem as germination media. Seed germination and seedling growth were observed weekly. The result indicated that the seed started to germinate in five week after incubation in sterile water and ten weeks after incubation in half strength MS medium supplemented with 0,2 and 2 mg/l BAP. However, the seed started to germinate in all of the media in greenhouse condition were faster than in vitro condition.
