Inventarisasi Alternatif Bahan Pangan Pokok Dari Hutan Sebagai Langkah Rediversifikasi Pangan dan Pemanfaatan Sumberdaya Hayati Secara Berkelanjutan
Lack of food is an issue from time to time in the history of human life. Forests have played an important role in the availability of food for humans so far. There are a lot of plants as source of food. Inventory of forest vegetation as food resources is done through some surveyed. This paper focus on discussion of plant which produce carbohydrate as a staple food. At least 22 species have recorded as an alternative staple food, from a variety of forest. Three species of mangrove, seven species of coastal forests, one species of swamp forest, two species of the savanna, six species of lowland tropical rain forest, and three species of highlands tropical rain forest.These plants could be developed as an alternative staple food as a step towards food rediversification and biodiversity conservation.
