Ki Calung (Diospyros macrophylla Blume) di Taman Nasional Ujung Kulon Banten
Diospyros macrophylla Blume is threatened species with category is vulnerable (VU) and criteria is A1c. Ujung Kulon National Park is use of natural habitat for D. macrophylla. Distribution Sumatra, Java, Borneo, Sulawesi, West Nusa Tenggara, Irian Jaya, and the Philippines. This research was aimed to assess habitat and habitus for D. macrophylla as basic for conservation this species. Explorative and descriptive method used in this study. Determining of sampling were purposive sampling method. The results showed that individual of D. macrophylla in Ujung Kulon are 114 specimens i.e. 35 of tree, 5 of pole, and 74 of seedling with habitat i.e. at lowland area which flat, at river side to inside, 15-70 m asl altitude, with 0-90% canopy. In this habitat, tree of ki calung up to 50 m tall, up to 53 cm in diameter, and crown up 16 m width. Cihujan area is the best locations for regeneration of ki calung with 98 specimen i.e. 22 of tree, 2 of pole, and 74 of seedling.
