Asosiasi Alstonia Spp Di Taman Nasional Ujung Kulon
There are three species of pulai in Ujung Kulon National Park (TNUK), black pulai (Alstonia angustiloba Miq.), yellow pulai (Alstonia scholaris (L.) R.Br.) and peucang pulai (Alstonia spectabilis R.Br.). To find out pulai association with other species and with environmental factors in TNUK, it was observed at 12 sampling transects, each of 100 m x 10 m. By using 2x2 contingency matrix and Canoco for Windows 4.5., the results show that A.scholaris not associated with other species. Meanwhile, there are two species of plants associated with the A.angustiloba, is Barringtonia gigantostachya and Syzygium hirtum and there are three species associated with A. spectabilis is Dioscorea hispida, Lagerstromia speciosa, and Phaleria capitata. The existence of black pulai is predictable in a more diverse vegetation habitat, and correlated with air temperature and soil acidity. While yellow pulai negatively correlated with the diversity of herbaceous plants and vines, but more free from the limitations of environmental factors compared to the black pulai.
