Uji Patogenisitas Bakteri Vibrio Alginolyticus Pada Anakan Abalon (Haliotis Asinina Lin. 1758)

Abalon (Haliotis asinina Lin. 1758) is a marine gastropod that is being cultured. In order to ensure its success, disease of the cultured biota should be studied. This experiment was aimed to find out the pathogenicity of Vibrio alginolyticus on juvenile abalone, (Haliotis asinina Lin. 1758). The experiment used completely randomized design with four treatments and three replicates. The density of Vibrio alginolyticus assayed were 107,105, 103sel/mL and control (no infection bacteria). Research result showed that mortality of juvenile abalone at 107 sel/mL of Vibrio alginolyticus was significally higher than other treatments. Vibrio alginolyticus at 103 and 105 sel/mL were not pathogenic for juvenile abalone. The result showed that Vibrio alginolyticus at 107 sel/mL is the most pathogenic for juvenile abalone.
