Variasi Morfologi Luar dan Pewarnaan pada Mata Kodok

Based on the external morphology of the eye and the color pattern of the eye; frogs species in Indonesia can be classified into three groups, namely: (A) Horizontal pupil with diamond rectangular-shaped; (B) Horizontal pupils with rounded shape; (C) Vertical pupil with rounded shape. Most of species in family of Dicroglossidae show a similar pattern of eye coloration, this indicates that there is a group of frogs are closely related; however the species of the families Rhacophoridae and Hylidae also show a similar eye coloration on most of these families members, but these characters do not indicate that these two families are closely related, except for the genus Nyctyxalus that member of the family Rhacophoridae.
